These socks allow you to fully enjoy the natural charm of the materials, making them a perfect addition to your wardrobe.
Alpaca
Alpaca hair has a hollow center in the fiber which makes it very moisturizing and surprisingly warm. In addition, it does not easily pile. Although alpaca has such excellent characteristics, unfortunately there are some problems in its production. One of the problems is that the number of colored alpacas, such as black and brown, is decreasing. Due to the distribution of chemical dyeing, the demand for white alpaca, which is easier to dye, has increased, while the demand for brown and black alpaca, which are harder to dye, has decreased. In the past, more than 40 different colors of alpacas were raised in the area, but now the majority of alpacas are white.
About our Future ( Yahae )
Living in a time overflowing with so many different products, there was a time that we weren’t sure about staying in the manufacturing business. The answer we arrived at is – if it’s something meaningful, we need to keep our business going. We believe that as long as we pursue quality of life, while being mindful of the environment, through our socks and make it into a culture, it becomes a good, albeit small, influence on the human history. What will become of the sock-making industry? Even though sometimes it could be uncertain to live through this rapidly changing time, where many things are hard to predict, we’re excited about the future at the same time.
Care
1Turn them inside out
2Wash by hand or with a lower spin speed
3Dry in shade with the cuffs up
*Items using alpaca or wool
As it is a particularly delicate material, be sure to use a mild detergent and air-dry them. Do not tumble dry.
